【OBS-compatible】Clock Widget

The Clock widget displays the current time and date on your stream through an OBS browser source. Customize date, day, seconds, fonts, colors, and background to create a readable clock for waiting screens, talk streams, and long broadcasts.

Clock Widget for OBS

The Clock widget is an OBS widget for showing the current time and date on your stream layout. Create the clock in Jamluca, copy the published URL, and paste it into an OBS browser source to display it on stream.

It works well when you want to show the time on a waiting screen, keep the current time visible during a talk stream, or leave time context in long streams and archives. Because it uses a digital display, it can stay compact and avoid getting in the way of gameplay or camera footage.

Show the Current Time on Your Stream

The Clock widget displays the current time inside an OBS browser source. It stays as a natural part of the stream layout, making it easy for viewers to check the time while the stream is in progress.

Having the time on screen helps live viewers share the same time context. It also helps archive and clip viewers understand when a moment happened. This is useful for late-night streams, work streams, event schedules, and other streams where time context matters.

Choose Date, Day, and Seconds Display

You can adjust what the clock shows to match the stream.

  • Date only
  • Time only
  • Date and time together
  • Toggles for year, day of week, and seconds
  • Date format and day-of-week style settings

For regular streams, you might place only the time in a small corner. For waiting screens or event screens, you can show the date and time more prominently. Showing seconds adds motion, while hiding seconds keeps the layout calmer.

Match the Design to Your Stream Layout

You can adjust the font, size, text color, background, border, and shadow in the editor. Templates let you start from a style close to your stream and change only what you need.

A clock is supporting information, so readability and subtlety matter. When placing it over gameplay or camera footage, keep enough contrast between the text and the background. A translucent background or light shadow can make the clock easier to read across changing visuals.

Use It in OBS with a Browser Source

Each clock is published as a dedicated URL. Add an OBS browser source and set that URL to display the clock on your stream. You can adjust the size and position in OBS while checking the full layout.

For the step-by-step setup flow, see How to Use Jamluca.

Stream Scenarios for the Clock Widget

  • Keep time context in archives and clips

If you want a clock with hands, you can also use the Analog Clock widget. Use the Clock widget when readability is the priority, and the Analog Clock widget when you want the clock to contribute more to the atmosphere of the scene.
