【OBS-compatible】Flip Widget

The Flip widget displays a two-sided card through an OBS browser source. It supports handwriting and keyboard input, and you can update content or switch faces from the controller.

Flip Widget for OBS

The Flip widget is an OBS widget that displays a two-sided card you can switch during a stream. Put text or handwriting on the front, then flip to the back when you want to hide it or prepare the next item. It works well for reveals, notes, answers, and topic prompts.

Create the flip widget in Jamluca, copy the published URL, and paste it into an OBS browser source to display it on stream. You can update the content and switch faces from the controller, making it easy to use in step with the stream.

Switch Between Front and Back

You can switch the card between its front and back from the controller. Show information on the front, then return to the back when you want to hide it or prepare the next piece of content.

The flipping motion makes reveals and content changes feel natural on screen. It is useful for information you want to show at a specific moment rather than text that stays visible all the time. You can choose the flip animation: a rotating card motion or an instant switch.

Use Handwriting or Keyboard Input

The front face supports both handwriting and keyboard input. Use keyboard input when you want clean short text, and handwriting when you want to write live notes or show a rough explanation.

You can switch input modes from the controller during the stream. Handwriting mode includes pen and eraser tools, plus color and thickness controls.

Update Content from the Controller

Open the controller URL on a phone or another PC to operate the flip widget even when you are away from the device running OBS. The streamer can update it from a phone, or a teammate can switch faces and edit text from another device.

Keyboard and handwriting input both include realtime update settings, so you can choose whether changes appear while typing or after the content is ready.

Adjust the Card Design

You can adjust the front and back backgrounds, text color, font, and text effects in the editor. Backgrounds support solid colors, gradients, patterns, and images. Match it to your stream colors and keep it readable over gameplay, camera footage, and other on-screen elements.

You can also hide the background, which is useful when you want the widget to blend into the stream layout or show only the text or handwriting.

Switch the Front Background with One Tap

The front face can have an accent background in addition to its normal one. Once it is set, a switch appears on the controller so you can change the front background instantly during the stream.

Use it to turn the background red the moment a quiz answer is correct, or to highlight a key moment. The switch only affects the front face, so you can turn it on while the back is showing and reveal the new background the moment the card flips over.

Use It in OBS with a Browser Source

Each flip widget is published as a dedicated URL. Add an OBS browser source and set that URL to display it on your stream. You can adjust the size and position in OBS to fit your layout and balance it with other visual elements.
