FeatureDestinationWhat is sent and why
The telop widget's "Highlight with AI" (only when the detection engine is set to Cloud AI)Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS)The telop text you type is sent so the AI can decide which words to highlight. When on-device AI is selected, the decision is made entirely on your device and this transmission does not occur.

How your data is handled at the destination

AWS states that the input and output sent to Amazon Bedrock is not used to train AI models, and is not stored by default (Amazon Bedrock FAQs, Data protection in Amazon Bedrock).

Sent data is processed on servers in the Asia Pacific region, including Japan.

About on-device AI

If you choose "On-device AI" for the telop widget's "Highlight with AI", detection runs on your computer using Gemma 2, an open model from Google. Your text is never sent to an external AI service for detection (the AI model itself is downloaded from our delivery server the first time you use it).
