FAQ

Do I have to set up OBS again for every stream?
You add it to OBS once. For each stream you only paste the stream URL into the controller and press Connect — the OBS source stays as it is.
Which streams can I show comments from?
Public and unlisted live streams are supported. Members-only stream chat is not supported.
Does Jamluca store the comments it shows?
No. Comments are only relayed so they can appear on your stream; the text is never kept in our database. The details are in our privacy policy.
Can I use it with platforms other than YouTube?
Only YouTube Live is supported for now. Any streaming software with a browser source can display it, not just OBS.
How are the comments fetched?
We fetch the live chat through the official YouTube Data API. There is no Google account to link and nothing to change in your stream settings—just paste the stream URL and connect.
Why is the YouTube logo shown on my stream?
It makes clear that the comments come from YouTube. The logo appears small at the bottom right, outside the comment panel, and cannot be hidden in the settings. Clicking it opens the stream you are connected to. Reference: YouTube API Services – Developer Policies (III.F.2)
